 WHAT IS CANCER?


 Cancer is a condition of abnormal/uncontrolled or excessive growth of living cells in the body.


 Therefore, breast cancer is an abnormal and uncontrolled growth of living cells that form the breast.



 SYMPTOMS OF BREAST CANCER



 (1) The first symptom of breast cancer is a lump in the breast that is different from other parts of the breast.



 However, not every swelling in the breast indicates the presence of breast cancer.  These lumps become hard, swollen on the breast, where you can sometimes have severe pain or no pain at all.



 These swelling occurs in more than one menstrual cycle in those who have not stopped menstruating.

 Other symptoms include;



 (2) Presence of swelling in the armpits



 (3) The part of the breast deepening that indicates an invisible or insensitive swelling



 (4) Changes in the nipples, such as nipples sinking or having small lumps, nipples itching, feeling like a burn, sores on the nipples or nipples have a scar that indicates cancer



 (5) Breast changes in the size, the skin of the breast becoming like an orange peel , the skin becoming red, and the temperature rises on the breast.  These symptoms indicate the spread of cancer in the body.



 (6) Another symptom is that the nipples produce abnormal water that is colorless.  In addition, sometimes the nipples bleed or secrete other discharge like pus.

 FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO BREAST CANCER



 (1) Feminine; female are more prone to breast cancer than male



 (2) Starting menstruation at a young age.



 (3) Stopping menstruation at more old age(menopause)



 (4) Absolute infertility.



 (5) Absolute Unbreastfeed or short-term breastfeeding.



 (6) Consumption of more fat in food.



 (7) Lack of regular exercise.



 (8) Obesity



 (9) Smoking.



 (10) Excessive alcohol consumption.



 (11) History of breast cancer in the family.

 HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF WITH BREAST CANCER



 Examine yourself regularly.



 Annual medical examination of the breast.



 Breast examination by radiation machine (once a year for people over 40).



 All women over the age of 21 should have their breasts examined on day 5-7 after menopause
