Nigeria: Daktari yeyote anayesisitiza Matumizi ya dawa ya Augmentin wakati huu,unahitajika kutoa maelezo ya kutosha-Tolu Ogunlesi.

Msaidizi wa zamani wa Rais, Tolu Ogunlesi, anasema daktari yeyote anayesisitiza matumizi ya dawa maarufu ya antibiotiki, Augmentin, kwa mgonjwa wake, licha ya ongezeko la kutisha la bei ya dawa hiyo, ana mambo mengi ya kufanya.

Tolu amesema hayo baada ya kuona post kwenye Mtandao wa X, ambapo Daktari mmoja alikanusha kuwa hakuna ongezeko la matumizi ya dawa hyo.

Daktari huyo aliweka picha ya dawa hii ya Augmentin kwenye kiganja chake akiambatanisha pamoja na bei(price tag N57, 000) halafu akaandika;

‘’This is just a basic antibiotic and it’s 57k!!!!!!!!

I can’t afford it as a doctor on just my salary!

Omo!”

Akijibu Post hyo Tolu alisema; “there is a crazy ‘’price-gouging” on Augmentin at the moment and that there are cheaper brands of anti-biotics that do the same thing Augmentin does. He mentioned that the cheaper drugs have same ingredients as Augmentine and are ten times cheaper”.

‘’Have to say that there’s crazy PRICE-GOUGING currently going on in Nigeria with GSK’s brand of Amoxycillin+Clavulanate Potassium (branded ‘Augmentin’), but other brands containing THE SAME active ingredients are TEN TIMES cheaper than this.

Any doctor INSISTING on prescribing Augmentin at this time has a lot of explaining to do.”
